Who are my influences?
Any artist or photographer that plays with extreme lighting or features animals in their work.
Where in Australia?
Anything agricultural related inspires me to create. But mostly the natural happenings of stock in the paddock.
What do I find difficult?
People! People are by far the hardest subject for me. People are the hardest to critique themselves or other people so people will generally pick up slight errors in a human face then an animal face.
How do I know when it’s finished?
Being a realism artist that is the most common problem when creating is when to know it’s done. I tend to work one cm at a time so I don’t move on until that square is complete. Making it very easy to know when to finish as everything is of the same standard.
Artwork mist proud of. Still would have to be the Hay runner ram. I always think maybe I shouldn’t have sold it as it is missed everyday unlike all my other pieces which I haven’t been attached to in that depth.
What is my favourite tool?
All my tools and materials are important. From paper and pencil to the lazy arms which hold up my tablet screen. I would have to say my pitt pastels. Without them there is no drawing.
Where do I see myself in a couple of years?
What I want to achieve. I would like to be well known and eventually sell just original art for an amount I can live off. If I can cover my cost of living I would be able to donate more of my art to help people in need.
I see myself in a couple of years. Becoming a registered business and hopefully get my name and work over seas.
