Artist Emma Wreyford’s birds and landscapes emanuate movement, vibrancy and wonder. Drawing inspiration from luminosity and the psychology of colour. Her textured paintings express her intrinsic relationship with the environment. Born in the late seventies Emma’s earlier work was defined by her childhood surroundings in the Isle of Wight, UK. Now based in the Mid coast of NSW after moving on from some stints in Sydney, one of which completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Paddington. Emma’s artistic practice explores the expansive space, rythm and intensity of colour found in Australia’s landscape.
