Bluefaced Honeyeater

Anica Art

Regular price $530.00

Bluefaced Honeyeater by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting and is unframed or can optionally be framed as shown in the photo above. Painted with quality watercolour on Arches 300gsm hot-pressed paper.

A small number of limited edition prints will be made available.

I was delighted to spot a Bluefaced Honeyeater for the first time, on our recent trip to the Warrumbungles National Park. This is a special National Park and landscape created by thousands of years of volcanic activity. The flora and fauna are amazing too! This also happens to be the best spot in Australia to view the night sky!

The Bluefaced Honeyeater is also known as the Banana Bird! The blue around its eye is actually skin and not feathers! It was a hot and humid day and the honeyeater was only too happy to land on the tap in anticipation of a cool drink!

If you would like it framed as above, please let Charles at Outback Creative know. The extra cost is $140.  The painting would be framed under glass in a quality black timber grain frame, under a double acid-free mount (ivory with black insert). Foamboard backing, d-rings,  picture cord and corner bumps complete the framing, as does the certificate of authenticity attached to the back.
