About the Artwork

I love the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. My aim with this painting was to invoke the emotive essence of the place.

One of the great joys of painting is layering glazes one over the other. The colours remain intense and clear.

I have used glazes of deep pinks and oranges which infuse the painting with intensity and, at the same time, a sense of peace.

This original artwork has been painted using acrylic and charcoal.

Acrylic/mixed media on board, with a hand made backing frame 15mm deep, see photos.

This work is ready for hanging although it could be placed inside a floating frame.
